Gamedev.js Survey 2023

Current state of Web Game Development in 2023

Read 2022 Report

We, the Gamedev.js community (led by Andrzej Mazur from Enclave Games), were wondering what tools and technologies people use to develop web games, how much do they earn, what monetization strategies are they using, etc. There was almost no up-to-date, solid data on the topic, so we decided to ask the community directly and publish the results afterwards.

The first Gamedev.js Survey 2021 was open between February 18th and March 18th 2021, we received a total of 437 submitted results, and the Report was published on March 25th 2021. The second Gamedev.js Survey 2022 was running between March 18th and April 18th 2022, received a total of 338 answers, and the Report was published on May 18th 2022.

Third edition of the survey will be open between January 13th and February 13th 2023. Please help us acquire solid data by sending a response, promoting the survey through your community, or in any other way helping make it happen - we really appreciate it! The results along with the PDF report will be published around February 26th.

To encourage participation we will be giving away a cash prize of $500 total to 10 random folks, $50 each. To be eligible you'll have to leave your email address in the form as we will need a way to contact you afterwards about the details of redeeming the prize.
