The upcoming 13th edition of the js13kGames competition running since 2012 is definitely not the only game jam happening in August. Actually, there are many that might be interesting for web game developers:

There’s also Brackeys Game Jam 2024.2, but it was moved from August to September 8th. As you can see most of the events above are hosted on Itch, though Dusk and js13kGames run on their own websites.
