Chris McCormick, the author of Makesprite, released his sci-fi roguelike in space, Asterogue – fight ancient aliens on a rocky asteroid to save the whole galaxy.
One thousand years of peace and prosperity in the galaxy have come to an end. You, a hummble lightswords-person, lost everything you loved in The Great War.
As you land on an asteroid, you have to descend 17 levels, fight with ancient aliens, and ultimately find the legendary Orb to restore peace in the galaxy.
The first three levels are free, and you can purchase the game directly from the developer on their website. The full version unlocks:
- 15 more levels
- 18 unique monsters
- 49 powerful items
- 11 exciting tilesets
- collectible valuables
- …and hours of gameplay
Even more, there’s currently a discount from $10 to only $5, so make sure to support fellow web game developer and buy the game. You can also consider buying Roguelike Browser Boilerplate made by Chris himself with which the game is built as well.
