A short game where you can extinguish wildfires – scoop water, accumulate fire retardant and protect the villages and cities from the fire.
Not sure if this is the bad timing, or maybe the best one, but apparently The Wildfires game was being developed for a few months and the release date was set since the beginning, so this is pure coincidence, not real-time marketing.
The game was created using Phaser by folks from the HomeTeam GameDev:
- Victor Debone
- Adrian Gruntkowski
- Christer Kaitila
- Patrick McKeown
- Jason Timms
- Vaan Hope Khani
- Randy Tan Shaoxian
- Allan Regush
You can remember both Victor Debone and Christer Kaitila from the js13kGames competition, where Victor was first a participant that was recruited by one of the partners, and then was the expert from that particular company, and Christer is an awesome js13k judge since almost the very beginning.
If you do feel like doing something more than “just” playing the game though, you can check out the UCLA post about how you can help those impacted by the wildfires.
