Ray Browser built for gaming gets $6.5m investment

Ray is specifically built for playing games in the browser, offering their own game portal with many titles already like Fortnite and Stumble Guys – the company received a substantial amount to grow and expand their reach.

Instantly play the best games with no downloads required. Enjoy the smoothest gameplay and keep all your favorite apps at your fingertips with split-screen.

The $6.5m funding round comes from Play Ventures, Samsung Next, Spatial Capital, FOV Ventures, and a16z Speedrun. Ray acknowledges the existence of OperaGX, which is a version of Opera dedicated to players, but positions itself even closer to the gaming community.

One of the key features of the Ray Browser is the built-in shader caching, and another the ability to splitscreen any activity. It is available for both Windows and MacOS.
