During the 97th Academy Awards the animated story of a cat told without any words at all and featuring only animals was awarded with an Oscar. Latvian filmmaker Gints Zilbalodis created it using tool many game developers are familiar with: Blender.
You can watch one-hour long talk from Silly-Pélissier Léo titled “The animation of Flow” that was held at the Blender Conference 2024 to learn about all the details of how the black cat and other animals in the movie were animated.
