The theme of this year’s Gamedev.js Jam 2020 is… future. It’s a broad, general theme, which should give you some ideas and hints immediately you think about it.
Entries will be judged based on a few criteria out of which one will be the theme – how well you incorporated future into your game mechanics, core gameplay, story, or used it in any other way. Remember that if you want to rank high and win some cool prizes you have to use it in a creative way, so it is mandatory. If you don’t care about the place your entry will end up though, you can skip it entirely since your game will be accepted as a valid entry anyway.
Join our Discord server if you want to discuss your game ideas with fellow devs. Good luck and have fun!
