In a month from now, on April 13th 2024, the fifth edition of Gamedev.js Jam will be hosted online on Itch.io! You’ll have 13 days to create a Web game on a given theme announced at the start of the Jam. There will be cool prizes, unique Challenges, and lots of fun!
Join us no matter your skill level – this game jam is a perfect opportunity to create your very first game, or build a prototype for your next commercial hit. Almost two weeks of development time should be more than enough!
Join the Jam on Itch.io if you haven’t already to not miss the start. Curious about what to expect? Check out submitted games from 2023, last year’s Challenges and prizes for a reference of what, more or less, you might expect this time as well.
Make sure to join our Discord too as we’ve prepared something special for newcomers – practice jams. You will be able to train your skills on a test project, and practice working in a team at the same time. Sounds interesting? Visit #practice-jams-📖 and ping @techbot for help.
In the coming days, starting from tomorrow, we’ll be announcing this year’s Partners, prizes, and Challenges – follow @GamedevJS (or keep an eye for the #GamedevJS hashtag) on Twitter to be up-to-date with the upcoming news!
While we’re at it, I’d like to personally ask for your help: if you know any company interested in partnering over a sponsorship or offering prizes, please reach out and let me know. Also, any help promoting Gamedev.js Jam in your community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and see you game jamming next month!
