Single-keyboard, local multiplayer games are a rare but welcome genre nowadays.
Birdfood is an adorable, single button, mini HTML5 game made with Phaser by Christian Montoya, where you control a rotating bird to catch an apple. The game mechanics are instantly clear: the bird is always spinning, and you can only make it fly forward. Fly into a bomb, and you’re dead meat!
But while the single player mode is fun enough for a quick session, it’s the chaotic multiplayer mode that the fun is at, as up to 4 players can play together controlling different birds to reach the apple first. Are you and your 3 friends too big for a single keyboard? Fear not, as it also has game pad support.
