The next optional challenge in the upcoming Gamedev.js Jam 2025 starting April 13th is Build it with Phaser by Phaser Studio.
Simply develop your game using any version of the Phaser game framework. You’ll find docs, resources and guides on our web site to get started quickly.
This challenge is the very same as last year, so if you participated in 2024 you know what to expect. Richard Davey, the author of Phaser himself, along with his fellow devs from Phaser Studio, will pick the best four games built with their framework and award each author with $250 cash, so it adds up to a prize pool of $1000. On top of that, authors of the best ten entries will get Vampire Survivors bundles containing the base game along with all five DLCs released so far.
Even if you’re just starting to learn Phaser for the upcoming jam, it’s a perfect opportunity to jump into web game development using one of the most poular game frameworks out there. Phaser Launcher can help you do that if you have no idea what to do first though.
