The Unity Play Launch Showcase, held from September 11 to November 30, 2024, marked Unity’s inaugural official showcase on the Unity Play platform. This event invited creators to submit their best web-based games developed with the Unity Engine, offering them an opportunity to gain visibility and win asset store credits and discounts.

To enter the showcase, participants were required to:

• Develop a web game using the Unity Engine.
• Provide a project title, description, and a thumbnail image (JPG or PNG, up to 1 MB).
• Optionally, include a video showcasing the game.
• Confirm acceptance of the Contest Official Rules and Specific Contest Rules and Prizes.

Some great incentives for dev teams:

• 1st Place: $1,000 USD in Unity Asset Store credits.
• 2nd Place: $500 USD in Unity Asset Store credits.
• 3rd Place: $250 USD in Unity Asset Store credits.
• 4th to 10th Place: 25% discount on a Unity Asset Store purchase.

Additionally, winning games were featured on the Unity Play website, providing significant exposure within the Unity community.

The Unity Play Launch Showcase fostered a vibrant community of aspiring game developers. Participants shared their creations, exchanged feedback, and drew inspiration from one another. The Unity Discussions forum and a dedicated Discord channel served as platforms for participants to ask questions and engage with fellow developers.
